Nailing the fifth best opening weekend of all times, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 [TWLI4] bite off an estimated $139.5 million. However, the fourth installment failed to top the series best $142.8 million from 2009's The Twilight Saga: New Moon. As expected 80% of the audience was female, while 50% was over the age of 25. All the Twilight films have been extremely front-loaded by Twihards.
Happy Feet Two [HPYF2] finished second with a disappointing $22.0 million, barely half of Happy Feet's $41.5 milion debut in 2006. The animated penguins face competition from three new family films for Thanksgiving.
Last week's champ Immortals [IMRTL] tumbled 62% to $12.3 million in its second weekend. The Greek myth epic has banked nearly $60 million.
Jack and Jill [JAJIL] fell 52% to $12.0 million. The Adam Sandler comedy has grossed $41.0 million after 10 days.
Puss in Boots [PUSNB] collected another $10.7 million bringing its total to $122.3 million.
