Breaking another record with another $103.2 million, The Avengers [AVNGR] became the first film to cross $100 million in its second weekend and crushing the previous mark of $76.5 million held by Avatar. The superhero team-up held 50% of its record opening weekend.
Dark Shadows [DRKSH] grossed $28.8 million to debut in second place. The vampire comedy attracted an audience that was 57% female and 73% over the age of 25.
Think Like a Man [TLKAM] finished third with $6.3 million, bringing its total to $81.9 million.
Opening in 323 theaters, Girl in Progress [GRLNP] netted $1.4 million for tenth overall.
