After several flops, Universal can claim to have the fairest of the weekend as Snow White and the Huntsman [SWHTM] grossed an estimated $56.3 million to lead the box office. The re-imagined fairy tale successfully appealed to both men and women with its gritty battle scenes and special effects. The audience demographics broke down 53% female and 56% over the age of 25.
Men in Black 3 [MIB3] declined 46% in its second weekend to $29.3 million. The sci-fi sequel has earned $112.3 million
The Avengers banked another $20.3 million to advance its total to $552.7 million.
Battleship [BTSHP] finished a distant fourth at $4.8 million
For Greater Glory [CRIST] charted at tenth overall with $1.8 million from 757 theaters.
