Summit has unleashed the first trailer for the action thriller Alex Cross [CROSS] on Amazon. For the first time, Tyler Perry [TPERR] stars in a role he did not originate as the famed police detective created by James Patterson. Cross is investigating the murders of a psychotic, serial killer, played by Matthew Fox [MFOX], who decides to come after Cross and his family. The deadly cat and mouse game soon escalates with increasing firepower. Judging by the trailer, Cross will be pulling no punches and packing more heat than Morgan Freeman, who previously played Cross twice in Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider. Alex Cross opens October 19th.
