After a 3 week stay in second place, Skyfall reclaimed the weekend box office crown with a $11.0 million fifth weekend. The 23rd James Bond film has banked a sensational franchise best $261.6 million.
Rise of the Guardians [GURDN] rose to the second spot with $10.5 million. The holiday animated film has gathered $61.9 million so far.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 [TWLI5] dropped down to third with $9.2 million. The final chapter in the vampire romance has totaled $268.7 million.
Lincoln [ABE] tallied another $9.1 million to bring its cumulative gross to $97.3 million.
Rounding out the top five, Life of Pi [LIFPI] added $8.3 million to advance its total to $60.9 million after three weekends.
Gerard Butler [GBUTL] had another flop as Playing for Keeps [PLAYF] debuted in sixth place with just $6.0 million. The romantic comedy drew only older women.
