Young women and teenagers drove the zombie romantic comedy Warm Bodies [WARMB] to first place with an estimated $20.0 million at the weekend box office. The audience was 60% female and 65% under the age of 25.
Last weekend's top film Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters [HNGWH] fell 53% to $9.2 million and the second spot. The fantasy action mashup has earned $34.5 million.
Bullet to the Head [HDSHT] debut sixth with just $4.5 million. The Slyvester Stallone actioner drew a crowd that was 60% male and 81% were over 25.
Stand Up Guys [STUPG] failed to crack the top 12 with a $1.5 million opening.
