With only one new wide release over the weekend, moviegoers didn't care much for the Thanksgiving leftovers. Frozen [FROZE] ascended a spot to first place with an estimated $31.6 million. The Disney animated film has banked $134.3 million.
After two weeks at the top, Hunger Games: Catching Fire [HGAM2] dropped to second with $27.0 million. The sci-fi sequel has amassed $336.7 million.
Out of the Furnace [FURNC] debuted in third place at $5.3 million from 2101 theaters. The Christian Bale [CBALE] starring thriller attracted a crowd that was 60% males and 77% over the age of 25.
