As the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks prepare to battle in the Super Bowl, Ride Along [RDLON] rolled to its third consecutive victory at the weekend box office with an estimated $12.3 million. The buddy comedy has gassed up $93.0 million in its tank.
A sing-along version of Frozen [FROZE.BW] pushed the Disney film back into second place with $9.3 million. The animated phenom has banked $360.0 million.
That Awkward Moment [AWODT] debuted third at $9.0 million. The bromantic comedy appealed to an audience that was 64% female and 61% under the age of 25.
In fourth place, The Nut Job [NUTJB] nabbed $7.6 million to advance its total to $50.2 million, while fifth placing Lone Survivor [LSURV] netted $7.1 million to bring its total to $104.9 million.
Labor Day [LABRD] opened seventh overall with just $5.3 million. Women made up 59% of the audience.
Rounding out the top 10, I, Frankenstein [IFRNK] tumbled 59% in its second weekend to $3.5 million.
