With all the studios bowing out from opening a film this weekend, six-weeks old Guardian of the Galaxy topped the box office with an estimated $10.2 million. The space adventure has push its total to $294.6 million.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles remained in second with $6.5 million to bring its total to $174.6 million.
The November Man [NOVMN] dropped 47% to $4.2 million in its second weekend for fifth overall.
At the sixth spot, As Above/So Below [AASB] tumbled 57% from its opening weekend to $3.7 million.
The only wide release for the weekend, The Identical [IDNTC] earned just $1.9 million to finish eleventh. The musical was targeted at Christian moviegoers.
