Universal scored another low-budget horror hit as Ouija [OUIJA] spelled out an estimated $20.0 million to top the weekend box office. The film appealed to an audience that was 75% under the age of 25 years old and 61% female.
John Wick [JWICK] debuted in second place with $14.2 million. The Keanu Reeves actioner brought out a crowd that was
60% male and 77% over the age of 25.
Last week's top film Fury [FURY] slipped 45% to $13.0 million and third place to advance its total to $46.1 million.
Gone Girl [GONEG] banked another $11.1 million to finish with $124.1 million after its fourth weekend.
Book of Life [BOLIF] uncovered $9.8 million, down 42% from its opening weekend.
In its first weekend of wide release, St. Vincent [SVDVN] grossed $8.1 million to rank sixth overall.
