20 years after Harry and Lloyd first led the weekend box office, Dumb and Dumber To [DUMB3] returns to the top with an estimated $38.1 million. The comedy sequel attracted an audience that was 57% over the age of 25 and 55% male.
Last weekend's champ Big Hero 6 [BHERO] slipped to second with $36.0 million. The animated film declined 36% to being its total to $111.7 million.
Interstellar [NTSTL] finished third at $29.2 million, off 39% from its debut. The sci-fi film has earned $97.8 million.
Beyond the Lights [BLACB] opened at the fourth spot with $6.5 million. The romance brought out a crowd that was 49% African-American, 61% women and 55% over 25.
Expanding to 857 theaters, Birdman [BIRDM] swooped up $2.5 million.
