Despite falling 60% from its opening weekend, Marvel's superhero team-up sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron [AVNG2] racked up an estimated $77.2 million for the second best sophomore weekend ever behind the first Avengers. The 10-day total stands at $312.9 million.
Hot Pursuit [DMWTX] debuted in second place with a less than expected $13.3 million. The femme-buddy comedy drew an audience that was 62% females.
The Age of Adaline [ADALN] remained at the third spot with $5.6 million. The romance has earned $31.5 milion.
The D Train [DTRAN] crashed outside the top 12 with just $0.4 million in its maiden run.
