The Father's Day weekend produced the biggest one-two punch ever at the box office. After setting a new opening weekend record, Jurassic World [JURA4] returns with an estimated $102.0 million, the second best second weekend behind The Avengers' $103.0 million. The dino sequel declined 51% to bring its 10-day total to $398.2 million.
Inside Out [NIMND] banked $91.1 million to score the best second placement ever. The opening marks the highest of any original Pixar film, and their second only to Toy Story 3's $110.3 million. The audience demographics broke down as 56% females, 71% families, 21% adults and 8% teens.
Spy [SCOPR] finished third at $10.5 million to up its total to $74.4 million. San Andreas [SANDR] followed in fourth with $8.2 million and $132.2 million after 4 weeks.
Dope [DOPE] debuted in fifth place with $6.0 million. The coming of age story brought out a crowd that was 57% male and 55% over the age of 25.
Expanding wide into 794 theater, Love & Mercy [LVMRC] took in $1.6 million to charted at 12th overall.
