Continuing its box office dominance for a third straight weekend, Jurassic World [JURA4] admitted an estimated $54.2 million to stay ahead of the competition. The dino sequel surpassed $500 million in record time.
Inside Out [NMIND] held the second spot with $52.1 million, down 42% from its debut. The Pixar film has earned $184.9 million.
Ted 2 [TED2] opened in third place with $32.9 million, well short of the original Ted's $54 million debut. The raunchy comedy sequel drew an audience that was 59% male and 51% over the age 25.
Max [MAX1] barked up $12.2 million to debut fourth overall. The family film attracted an audience that was 55% female and 57% over the age of 25.
Rounding out the top five, Spy [SCOPR] grossed $7.8 million to bring its total to $88.4 million.
