Warner Bros. has uploaded the full-length trailer for the real-life gangster drama Black Mass [BMASS]. Johnny Depp [JDEPP] stars as Whitey Bulger, Joel Edgerton [JEDGE] as FBI Agent John Connolly; Benedict Cumberbatch [BCUMB] as Whitey’s brother, Billy Bulger; Rory Cochrane as Steve Flemmi, another member of the Irish mob; Jesse Plemons as Whitey’s longtime partner in crime, Kevin Weeks; and Kevin Bacon [KBACO] as FBI Agent Charles McGuire.
In 1970s South Boston, FBI Agent John Connolly (Edgerton) persuades Irish mobster James “Whitey” Bulger (Depp) to collaborate with the FBI and eliminate a common enemy: the Italian mob. The drama tells the story of this unholy alliance, which spiraled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement, consolidate power, and become one of the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in Boston history.
