Topping the weekend box office for a third straight time, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 [HGAM4] earned an estimated $18.6 million to bring its total to $227.1 million.
Krampus [KRMPS] debuted in second place with $16.0 million. The Christmas horror fim skewed younger as the audience were nearly split between over and under the age of 21.
Creed [CREED] rung up another $15.5 million in a close fight for the third spot. The boxing drama trailed off 48% in its second weekend to total $65.1 million.film
The Good Dinosaur [GDINO] tumbled 60% from its opening to $15.5 million. The Pixar film has amassed $76.0 million.
Expanding to 660 theaters, Trumbo [TRMBO] typed up over $0.9 million.
Opening in 886 theaters, The Letters [LETRS] wrote home just $0.8 million.
