With the sole wide release floundering at the weekend box office, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 [HGAM4] earned an estimated $11.3 million to retain the top spot. The finale has banked $244.5 million thus far.
In the Heart of Sea [HRTSE] debuted in second place at $11.0 million. The whaling adventure skewed older with more than 46% of the audience over the age of 50.
The Good Dinosaur [DINOS] remained in third place with $10.5 million, bringing its total to $89.7 million. Creed [CREED] stayed at the fourth spot with $10.1 million, upping its total to $79.3 million.
Krampus [KRMPS] declined 51% in its second weekend to $8.0 million and fifth overall.
