Gods of Egypt [GOEGP] opened in second place with $14.0 million. The swords and sandals flick attracted an audience that was 56% male and 62% over the age of 25.
Kung Fu Panda 3 [PAND3] finished third at $9.0 million to advance its total to $128.5 million.
Risen [CLAVU] sunk 41% in its second weekend to $7.0 million for fourth overall. The Christian film has taken in $22.7 million.
Eddie the Eagle [EDEGL] scored $6.3 million to debut at the fifth spot. The sports film brought out a crowd that was 54% female and 75% over the age of 25.
Tripe Nine [TRPL9] opened with $6.1 million. The crime thriller skewed older men at 58% males and 85% over the age of 25.
