With an estimated $181.8 million over its opening weekend, Captain America: Civil War [CAPA3] scored the fifth highest debut of all times, besting Iron Man 3's $174.1 million. Although the total fell short of Avengers: Age of Ultron's $191.3 million last year, the third Captain America nearly doubled the previous installment, The Winter Soldier. The superhero brawl brought out an audience that was 66% males and 51% over the age of 25.
The Jungle Book [JNGLB] was dethroned after 3 weeks at the top to second at $21.9 million. The Disney remake has amassed nearly $285 million.
Mother's Day [MTHRS] moved up a spot with $9.0 million, up 8% from its opening weekend. The comedy stands at $20.7 million.
Keanu [KEANU] declined 67% in its second weekend to $3.1 million.
