After two weeks of being number two at the weekend box office, The Blind Side [BLDSD] is the new number one film in the country. The football drama scored an estimated $20.4 million to bring its cumulative total to $129.3 million.
Former champion The Twilight Saga: New Moon [TWLI2] slipped down to the second spot with $15.7 million. The fantasy romance has sucked in $255.6 million.
Of the weekend's new wide releases, Brothers [BRTHS] fared best with a debut of $9.7 million in third place. Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire and Natalie Portman starred in the drama directed by Jim Sheridan.
Sony's heist film Armored [ARMRD] opened in sixth place with just $6.6 million, while Miramax's holiday film Everybody's Fine [EBFIN] rounded out the top 10 with $4.0 million.
