Leading the weekend box office with an estimated $18.8 million, Moana [MOANA] reigned for the third time as the animated film pushed its total to $145.0 million.
Office Christmas Party [OFCPT] grossed $17.5 million to debut in second place. The raunchy comedy appealed to an audience that was 56% male and 83% were over the age of 25.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them [FBSTS] took third at $10.8 million to bring its total to $199.3 million.
Nocturnal Animals [NOCAN] finished seventh with $3.2 million in its wide expansion to 1262 theaters.
Manchester by the Sea [MBTSE] moved up to eighth with $3.2 million from 367 theaters.
Expanding to 1648 theaters, Miss Sloane [SLOAN] $1.9 million to chart at eleventh.
