Hidden Figures [HIDNF] took in $21.8 million in its first weekend of wide release. The historical drama attracted an audience that was 64% female and 56% over the age of 35.
Sing [SING] finished third at $19.6 million to bring its total to $213.4 million.
Underworld: Blood Wars [UNDW5] debuted in fourth place with $13.1 million, the lowest in the franchise.
La La Land [LALAL] jumped up to the fifth spot with $10.0 million. The muscial has bagged $51.7 million.
Expanding to wide release, A Monster Calls [AMCAL] grossed only $2.0 million to fall outside the top 12.
