The four-day Memorial holiday weekend at the box office was won by Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales [PIRT5] with an estimated $77.0 million. The fifth film in the fantasy adventure drew an audience that was 53% male and 63% over the age of 25.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vo. 2 [GOTG2] gave Disney the top two finishers with $25.2 million. The Marvel sequel has earned $338.5 million.
Baywatch [BAYWT] debuted in third place with $23.0 million, and $27.6 million since opening on Thursday. The TV adaptation appealed to an a crowrd that was 52% female and 55% over the age of 25.
Alien: Covenant [PRME2] took fourth with $13.2 million over the 4-day weekend. The 3-day portion tumbled 71% from its opening weekend.
Everything, Everything [EVRYT] rounded out the top five with $7.4 million, bringing its total to $22.7 million.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: THe Long Haul [WIMP4] grossed $5.8 million for sixth overall.
