Showing tremendous franchise fatigue with the lowest debut in the five film series, Transformer: The Last Knight [TFRM5] opened with an estimated $45.3 million over the weekend and $69.1 million since Wednesday. The sequel attracted an audience that was 57% male and 52% under the age of 25.
Cars 3 [CARS3] dropped 53% in its second weekend to $25.2 million and second place. The Pixar sequel has earned $99.9 million.
Wonder Woman [WONDR] finished third with $25.1 million to bring its total to $318.3 million after four weekends.
47 Meters Down [47MDW] slipped just 34% to $7.4 million in its second weekend. The thriller has banked $24.3 million.
All Eyez on Me [TUPAC] tumbled 78% from its debut to $5.8 million. The total stands at $38.6 million.
Expanding to 491 theaters, in its third weekend, Beatriz at Dinner [BETRZ] came in eleventh at $1.8 million.
