Annabelle: Creation [ANAB2] slipped to second place with $15.5 million. The horror sequel fell 56% to bring its total to $64.0 million.
Logan Lucky [LUCLO] opened in third place with just $8.1 million. The well-reviewed film was only given a B CinemaScore by moviegoers.
The Nut Job: Nutty by Nature [NUTJ2] finished with $5.1 million, down 39% from its debut. The animated sequel has squirreled away $17.7 million.
Expanding to 694 theaters in its thrid weekend, Wind River [WNDRV] banked $3.0 million to rank tenth overall.
