With an estimated $56.6 million to lead the weekend box office, Thor: Ragnarok [THOR3] slipped 54% in its second weekend to bring its total to $211.6 million. The sequel has already surpassed the total box office of Thor and Thor: The Dark World after just 10 days.
Daddy's Home 2 [DDHM2] secured second place with a $30.0 million debut. The PG-13 rated comedy sequel drew 65% over the age of 25 and 57% female, interestingly up from 48% female for the first film.
Murder on the Orient Express [MOTOE] opened in third place with $28.2 million. The thriller connected with an audience that was 56% female and 51% over the age of 35.
A Bad Moms Christmas [BADM2] finished fourth at $11.5 million, down just 31% from its opening weekend. The R-rated comedy sequel has earned $39.9 million.
Jigsaw [SAW8] rounded out the top five with $3.4 million, bringing its sum to $34.6 million.
Playing in just 37 theaters, Lady Bird [LADYB] charted at the tenth spot with a robust $1.2 million.
