A foursome of wide newcomers were no match for the reigning champ over the MLK holiday weekend as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle [JUMNJ] stayed in first place with an estimated $35.4 million over 4-days to push its total to $291.6 million.
The Post [TPOST] climbed to second place at $23.4 million in its expansion to wide release. The audience was 55% female and 66% over the age of 35.
The Commuter [COMUT] pulled in $16.4 million to debut at the third spot. The thriller skewed 54% male and 83% over the age of 25.
The Greatest Showman [TGSOE] finished fourth at $15.6 million, bringing its total across $98.4 million after 4 weekends.
Paddington 2 [PADT2] opend in sixth place with $15.0 million, dosn significant from the first film. The family film drew 57% female and 55% over the age of 25.
Insidious: The Last Key [NSID4] dropped seventh at $14.6 million. The horror sequel has banked $50.6 million.
Proud Mary [PMARY] took in just $12.0 million to chart at the eighth position. The audience was 58% female and 77% over 25.
