Four weeks after debuting at number one, How to Train Your Dragon reclaimed the top spot with an estimated $15.0 million. The animated fantasy declined just 23% in its fifth weekend to up its war chest to $178.0 million.
The Back-Up Plan [PLANB] opened in second place with a respectable $12.25 million. The Jennifer Lopez [JLOPE] romantic comedy should exhibit good legs, not unlike adult-skewing holdover Date Night [DATEN], which finished at the third spot with $10.6 million. The Steve Carell [SCARE] and Tina Fey [TFEY] team-up has earned $63.5 million thus far.
Warner Bros.' Losers [LOSRS] made modest $9.6 million to debut fourth overall. The action comedy should fade quickly like fellow comic adaptation Kick-Ass [KCKAS], which dropped 52% in its sophomore session to $9.5 million.
The Disneynature documentary Oceans [OCENS] charted at the eight spot with $6.0 million. The film has banked $8.5 million since opening Thursday on Earth Day.
