The 2019 box office slump continues as the lowest Presidents' Day weekend since 2004 was led by Alita: Battle Angel [ALITA] with an estimated $34.3 million from Friday to Monday, and $43.0 million since opening on Thursday. The Audience was 60% male and 53% aged 25 and older.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part [LEGO2] slipped to second with $27.3 million in its sophomore weekend for a total of $68.8 million.
Isn't It Romantic [ISROM] opened in third place with $16.6 million and $22.9 mil lion since opening on Wednesday. The romantic comedy skewed older women as expected.
What Men Want [WMENW] finished fourth at $12.4 million, bringing its sum to $37.6 million after 11 days.
Happy Death Day 2U [HDTH2] charted at a disappointing fifth with $11.0 million and $14.7 million since opening on Wednesday. The horror sequel drew 51% female and 59% under the age of 25.
Cold Pursuit [HPWDR] took in $7.0 million for sixth overall, pushing its total to $22.1 million.
