Despite a strong challenge from another franchise finale, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World [HTYD3] remained on the box office throne with an estimated $30.0 million. The animated trilogy finale stands at $97.7 million.
Tyler Perry's A Madea Funeral [MADFF] opned in second with $27.1 million, the fourth highest in the series. The last Madea film brought out a crowd that was 50% African-American, 67% female and 78% age 25 and over.
Alita: Battle Angel [ALITA] finished third at $7.0 million, bringing its totatl to $72.2 million. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part [LEGO2] took fourth with $6.6 million and $91.7 million after 4 weeks.
Fighting with My Family [FTWMF] fell 40% in its second wide weekend to $4.7 million and sixth overall.
Greta [TWIDW] earned $4.6 million to debut at the eighth spot. Audience for the thriller was 57$ female and 57% over the age of 25.
