Scaring up an estimated $70.3 million at the weekend box office, Us [US] delivers the biggest opening for an original R-rated film, and the third highest ever for an R-rated opening. The audience was evenly split among males and females and 53% was aged 25 or older.
Captain Marvel [CMARV] was knocked off to second with $35 million and $321.5 million overall.
Wonder Park [AMUSM] finished third at $9 million, down 43% from its opening.
Five Feet Apart [5FTAP] declined 34% in its second weekend to $8.8 million and the fourth spot.
Expanding to 654 theaters, Gloria Bell [GLORB] climbed to seventh with $1.8 million.
