Rocky Mountain Pictures has revealed the first trailer for the musical Standing Ovation [STNOV]. Starrring a cast of unknowns, the film follows five junior high school friends as they form a singing group called 'The 5 Ovations' to compete in a national music video contest to win $1 million. With the popularity of the TV series Glee and various reality shows about musical competition, Standing Ovation could breakout this summer if given the proper marketing and promotion. Rocky Mountain is aiming to open Standing Ovation wide on July 16th, but it remains to be seen if they can secure the screen counts.
