Universal climbed atop of the weekend box office with its seventh reelase as Abominable [EVERS] summited with an estimated $20.8 million. Minorities made up the majority of the moviegoers at 56%. The animated film appealed to moms, which made up 53% of the audience.
Downton Abbey [DWTAB] was dethroned to second with $14.5 million. The drama declined 53% in its second weekend to bring its total to $58.5 million.
Hustlers [HSTLR] moved back up to the top three with $11.5 million and $80.6 million cumulatively.
It: Chapter Two [IT2] finished fourth at $10.4 million and $193.9 million after its fourth weekend.
Ad Astra [ASTRA] slipped 47% from its debut to $10.1 million and fifth place. The sci-fi film has earned $35.5 million.
Rambo: First Blood [RAMB5] dropped 55% in its second weekend to $8.6 million, advancing its sum to $33.2 million.
Judy [JUDY] charted at the seventh spot with $3.1 million from 461 theaters. The biopic skewed 60% female and 79% aged 35 or older.
