While a couple of new releases flopped at the weekend box office, Bad Boys for Life [BADB3] easily won for a third straight time with an estimated $17.7 million. The sequel has rushed its total to $148.1 million.
1917 [1917] retained the second position with $9.7 million, bringing its sum to $119.2 million.
Dolittle [DOCDO] stayed in third place at $7.7 million and $55 million cumulatively.
Gretel & Hansel [GRHNS] opened at the fourth spot with $6.1 million. Audience for the horror was split 30% males over 25, 29% females over 25, 25% females under 25, and 16% males under 25.
The Gentlemen [TOFFG] dipped just 44% in its second weekend to $6.0 million and fifth overall. The Guy Ritchie film has earned $20.4 million.
The Rhythm Section [RHYTM] was out of tune with just $2.8 million in its debut at number 10. The opening is the worst ever with 3000 or more screens. The turn out was 53% male and 75% aged 25 years or older.
