Following the successful launch of the Presidential Options for Donald Trump [TRUMP] and Joe Biden [BIDEN], HSX will now issue additional securities surrounding the 2020 Election in the United States. The new Senate and House Options speculate on the numbers of seats the two leading American political parties, Democrat and Republican, will have in the two legislative chambers of 117th United States Congress.
The United States Senate is the upper chamber of the United States Congress. Each state is represented by two senators, for a total of 100. Senators are elected by popular vote to serve six-year terms. Currently, Republicans [SENREP] hold 53 seats and Democrats [SENDEM] hold 48 seats. 35 seats are up for election this year. Can Republicans maintain their majority in the Senate?
The United States House of Representative is the lower chamber of the United States Congress. Each state is allocated representatives based on its population from a total of 435 for all 50 states. Representatives are elected by popular vote to serve two-year terms. Currently, Democrats [HORDEM] hold 232 seats while Republicans [HORREP] hold 198 seats. All 435 seats are up for election. Will Democrats win at least 218 to maintain the majority in the House?
The Senate and House Options will halt trading on Election Day, November 3rd at 1pm Pacific and cash out based on one senator or representative of the designated party equals H$1. Independents who caucus with the party do not count.
