Whisper Numbers: Let Him Go to win post-election weekend

For the second weekend in a row, Focus Features offers the only new wide release in theaters. Kevin Costner [KCOST] and Diane Lane [DLANE] topline the modern western Let Him Go [LETHG]. Targeted at older adults, the R-rated thriller has received favorable reviews. Let Him Go arrives in 2436 theaters.  Recent releases during the current pandemic with similar counts have opened in the $3 to 4 million range. Let Him Go will likely perform comparably and bring home around $3.5 million.

Focus’ horror film Come Play [LARRY] could hold 55% of its debut for a sophomore tally at $1.7 million.

Honest Thief [HNSTF] looks to round out the top three with $900K during its fourth weekend.

That’s the whisper from the virtual trading floor.
