With COVID-19 cases resurging across the country, moviegoers stayed home as Freaky [FEAKY] underwhelmed with an estimated $3.7 million debut atop the weekend box office. The audience was 55% aged 25 and over and evenly split between the sexes.
Last week's champ, Let Him Go [LETHG] dropped 55% in its second weekend to $1.8 million. The thriller has earned $6.9 million.
The War with Grandpa stayed in third place with $1.3 million in its sixth weekend, bringing its total to $15.2 million.
Come Play [LARRY] finished fourth at $1.1 million and $7.3 million after three weekends.
Opening in 475 theaters, Come Away [CAWAY] came away with just $108K.
