Tom Holland gets to rule the box office for another weekend until The Batman takes over. His male-targeted videogame adaptation Uncharted [UNCHT] is likely to drop 50% in its second weekend to $22.0 million.
With excellent word of mouth, Dog [DOG] could hold close to 65% of its opening weekend and remain in second at around $9.5 million.
Foo Fighters decided to make a horror movie and the resulting Studio 666 [ST666] has actually received decent reviews. Open Road hopes the R-rated splatterfest brings out more than just fans of the band. Booked in 2306 theaters, Studio 666 could tally $4.5 million.
After MGM delayed its release until after the Oscar nominees announcement, Cyrano [CYRNO] opens with just one nomination for Costume Design. The musical directed by Joe Wright caters to an older demographic that has not resumed moviegoing. Despite great reviews, Cyrano may settle for $3 million from 797 locations.
That's the whisper from the virtual trading floor.
