After eight weeks, there is finally a new film atop the weekend box office as Knock at the Cabin [KNATC] opened in first place with an estimated $14.2 million. The M. Night Shyamalan thriller fell short of his previous effort Old’s $16.8 million opening in 2021.
80 for Brady [80FBR] debuted in the second spot at $12.5 million. The sports comedy connected with older women with 68% of the audience female and 82% over 25 while 49% over 55.
Avatar: The Way of the Water [AVAT2.BW] finished third with $10.8 million for a sum of $636.4 million.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish [PUSS2.BW] was fourth at $7.95 million, bringing its total to $151.3 million.
A Man Called Otto [AMCOT] earned another $4.175 million to advance its total to $53.0 million.
Missing [SARC2] uncovered another $3.725 million in its third weekend for a total of $23.0 million.
Plane [TPLNE] tallied $2.21 million. The 4-weekend total sits at $28.88 million.
Infinity Pool [INFPO] dropped 64% in its second weekend to $900K and $4.33 million after 10 days.
