The smallest Avenger scored its biggest opening ever as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania [ANTM3] banked an estimated $104.0 million over the 3-day weekend and $118.0 million over the 4-day holiday weekend. The previous chapter Ant-Man and the Wasp debuted at $75.8 million in 2018. However, Quantumania received a Rotten rating on RottenTomatoes and only a B CinemaScore from moviegoers.
Last weekend’s top act, Magic Mike’s Last Dance [MGCM3] doubled its theater count and finished second at $5.53 million over 3-day weekend. The sequel declined 33% from its debut to bring its total to $18.12 million.
Knock at the Cabin [KNATC] grossed $3.9 million in its third outing for a total at $30.37 million.
80 for Brady [80FBR] took in another $3.6 million to advance its total to $32.25 million after 3 weekends.
Marlowe [MARLW] opened with $1.91 million over the 3-day weekend and $2.67 million from Wednesday through Sunday.
Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey [WTPBH] potted $679K Friday through Sunday and $1.52 million since opening on Wednesday.
