The 95th Academy Awards is finally over, and Everything Everywhere All At Once won nearly everything in the top categories. The multiverse drama took home 7 Oscars including all 6 of the top 8 categories it received a nomination. All the victors were also all first-time winners. Everything Everywhere All At Once [A3PEEA] was named Best Picture, the first film that world premiered at SXSW to take the top prize.
Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert [A3DDKS] won the Oscar for directing Everything Everywhere All At Once. The duo also secured the Oscar for their Original Screenplay for Everything Everywhere All At Once [A3OEEA].
Brendan Fraser [A3ABFR] earned the Oscar for Best Actor in The Whale, cementing the comeback for the one-time box office A-lister.
Michelle Yeoh [A3CMYE] was awarded the Oscar for Best Actress in Everything Everywhere All At Once, becoming the first Asian to be honored in the category.
Ke Huy Quan [A3RKHQ] took the Oscar for Supporting Actor in Everything Everywhere All At Once, after not having an acting job for 20 years.
Jamie Lee Curtis [A3SJLC] was presented the Oscar for Supporting Actress in Everything Everywhere All At Once, completing the near sweep. HSX traders chose Angela Bassett for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever instead.
The Oscar for Adapted Screenplay went to Women Talking’s Sarah Polley [A3EWMT], who also directed the drama.
