Evil Dead Rises [EVLD5] opened in second place with a better than expected $23.5 million. The R-rated horror film attracted an audience that was 58% males and 66% between the age of 18-34.
Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant [NTRPR] debut with $6.28 million for the third spot. The actioner connected with an audience that was 60% males, 45% between 18-34 years old.
John Wick: Chapter 4 [WICK4.BW] finished fourth at $5.75 million, bringing its running tally to $168.88 million.
The Pope’s Exorcist [POPEX] tumbled 63% in its second session to $3.32 million and $14.94 million after 10 days.
Renfield [RENFI] dropped 61% in its sophomore weekend to $3.11 million and $13.62 million after 10 days.
AIR [AIRJO] scored another $5.55 million to push its total to $41.77 million after 3 weekends.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves [DNDGN] earned $5.4 million in its fourth weekend to bring its sum to $82.19 million.
Expanding to 965 theaters, Beau is Afraid [DBLVD] disappointed with $2.71 million. The total sits at $3.15 million.
Suzume [SUZUM] declined 68% from its debut to $1.625 million, bringing its total to $8.43 million.
Opening in 1275 theaters, Chevalier [CDSG] tuned up just $1.5 million.
