Showing signs of Marvel fatigue after the lackluster Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Vol. 3 was unable to top the second film’s $146 million debut six years ago. The third film in the trilogy did score an A CinemaScore.
After 4 weeks at the top, The Super Mario Bros. Movie [MARIO] finished second at $18.60 million for a five-week total of $518.13 million.
Evil Dead Rises [EVLD5] took in $5.73 million in its third weekend for a running total of $54.1 million.
Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. [AYTGM] declined 50% in its sophomore session to $3.38 million. The dramedy stands a $12.65 million.
Love Again [TXTFU] opened in fifth place with just $2.425 million. The romantic comedy skewed female at 75%.
Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant [NTRPR] earned another $1.22 million to push its sum to $14.78 million after 3 weekends.
Sisu [SISU] dropped 67% in its second weekend to $1.08 million. The actioner sits at $5.55 million.
Big George Foreman [GFORE] fell 73% in its second round to $800K and $4.61 million overall.
The Pope’s Exorcist [POPEX] grossed $425K for a 4-weekend total at $19.0 million.
Renfield [RENFI] tallied $170K in its fourth weekend, bringing its total to $16.98 million.
