The $80.0 million 5-day debut beats Mission: Impossible II’s $78.8 million Wednesday-Sunday opening in 2000. Men over 25 was the biggest quadrant at 46% of the audience.
Sound of Freedom [SOFRD] increased 37% in its second weekend to $27.0 million. The faith-based thriller has already amassed $85.50 million.
Last weekend’s champ, Insidious: The Red Door [NSID5] dropped 61% from its opening to $13.0 million. The horror sequel has banked $58.09 million.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny [INDI5] took in $12.0 million in its third outing for a total of $145.36 million.
Elemental [ELMNT.BW] rounded out the top five with $8.7 million, bringing its total to $125.29 million.
No Hard Feelings [NHFEL] earned 3.30 million to bring its total to $46.59 million after 4 weekends.
Joy Ride [JOYRI] declined 56% from its debut to $2.575 million. The raunchy comedy stands at $10.62 million.
Asteroid City [ASTRC] tallied $1.16 million in its fourth weekend of wide release for a total at $26.35 million
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken [GILLM] earned $1.0 million, advancing its third weekend sum to $14.41 million.
Opening in 678 theaters, The Miracle Club [MRCLB] scored $680K.
Past Lives [PSTLV] took in $538K in its third weekend of wide release. The total sits at $9.48 million.
