Legendary's sequel comes on the heels of Toho’s Godzilla Minus One winning an Oscar 3 weeks ago. The audience skewed 62% males and 67% over the age of 25.
Last weekend’s champ, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire [GHST5] finished second with $15.7 million. The sequel dropped 65% from its opening weekend to bring its total to $73.4 million.
Dune: Part Two [DUNE2.BW] rounded out the top three at $13.0 million in its fifth weekend for a running sum of $254.29 million.
Kung Fu Panda 4 [PAND4] took in $10.2 million for fourth place and $151.65 million after four weekends.
Immaculate [IMACU] held exceptionally well for a horror film, declining only 39% in its sophomore weekend to $3.27 million and $11.13 million after 10 days.
Arthur the King [ARTKN] chewed up $2.40 million in its third session for a current tally of $19.07 million.
Late Night with the Devil [LNWTD] held even better for a horror film, slipping just 22% to $2.206 million in its second weekend and $6.29 million after 10 days.
Imaginary [IMGNR] brought home another $1.40 million, advancing its total to $26.24 million after four weekends.
In the Land of Saints and Sinner [ILSAS] starring Liam Neeson debuted with $1.056 million from 896 theaters.
Cabrini [CABRI] earned $1.038 million to bring its total to $18.14 million after 4 weekends.
Love Lies Bleeding [LBLED] grossed $643K in its third weekend of wide release. The thriller sits at $7.19 million.
One Life [1LIFE] took in $474K in its third weekend for a sum of $4.52 million.
