Walt Disney has unveiled the teaser trailer for the animated musical sequel Moana 2 [MOAN2], which was Auli'i Cravalho [ACRAV] reprises her title role while Dwayne Johnson [TROCK] returns as the Hawaiian god Maui. They lead a crew of unlikely seafarers on a new voyage across the Pacific Ocean to reconnect with their ancestors. Originally headed direct to Disney+, Moana 2 will now open in theaters on November 27.
After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced. Directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, and produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino, “Moana 2” features music by Grammy® winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaʻi, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.
