Becoming the highest grossing R-rated release in just 10 days, Deadpool & Wolverine [DEAD3] remained atop the podium with an estimated $97.0 million. The sequel held 46% of its debut to up its total to $395.58 million, surpassing the $370.7 million record held by 2004's Passion of the Christ.
Twisters [TWIS2] stayed at the second spot with $22.65 million in its third outing to advance its total to $195.59 million.
Trap [TRAP] opened in third place with $15.6 million. The thriller received a C+ from an audience that was 56% male and 58% between the ages 18-34.
Despicable Me 4 [DESM4.OW] collected $14.2 million in its fifth frame to push its haul to $313.97 million.
Harold and the Purple Crayon [HATPC] debuted with just $6.0 million. The family film attracted an audience that was 54% female and 52% over the age of 35.
Longlegs [LNLEG] took in $4.14 million to bring its total to $66.94 million after four weekends.
The Fabulous Four [TFAB4] dropped 60% in its second weekend to $418K. The current tally sits at $2.33 million.
Fly Me to the Moon [PARTM] grossed $350K in its fourth weekend for a sum of $20.01 million.
