Moviegoers took a break this weekend as the top 12 films grossed less than of what they did last weekend during the Thanksgiving holiday. Tangled [RAPUN] moved up to the top with an estimated $21.5 million. The animated film declined 56% against its opening weekend.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 [HPOT7] tumbled 66% in its third weekend to $16.7 million. The latest Potter film is decaying faster than the previous chapters.
Amongst the other sophomore outings, Burlesque [BURLS] fell 49% to $6.1 million, Love and Other Drugs [LVDRG] dropped 41% to $5.7 million, and Faster [FASTR] slowed down 55% to $3.8 million.
The weekend only new wide release, The Warrior's Way [WRWAY] earned just $3.1 million to debut in ninth place. The ninja western was the first film distributed under Relativity Media.
