Topping the weekend box office for a second consecutive weekend, Transformers: Dark of the Moon [TFRM3] earned an estimated $47.0 million. The 3D sequel declined 52% from its opening weekend.
The R-rated comedy Horrible Bosses [HRBOS] debuted in second place at $28.1 million. The movie appealed to an audience that was evenly split between the sexes and 64% over the age of 25.
The PG-rated comedy Zookeeper [ZOOKP] finished a distant third with $21.0 million. The movie attracted an audience that was 52% families.
Cars 2 [CARS2] pumped in another $15.2 million to bring its total to $148.8 million, while Bad Teacher [BDTCH] added $9.0 million to advance its tally to $78.8 million.
Larry Crowne [LCROW] fell 52% to $6.3 million in its second weekend to take sixth overall.
