Millennium Entertainment has revealed the trailer for the home invasion robbery thriller Trespass [TRESP] from the director of Phone Booth and Falling Down, which were released in 2002 and 1993. That's how far back since Joel Schumacher [JSCHU] made a good movie. Nicolas Cage [NCAGE] and Nicole Kidman [NKIDM] star as a couple whose home is taken over by a gang of robbers, led by Cam Gigandet [CGIGA]. The film treads the same familiar territory as Hostage, Panic Room and The Strangers. Although the film stars two Academy Award winners in Cage and Nicole Kidman, Millennium is foregoing the expenses of a wide theatrical release to recoup its production costs the home video market. It's a wise choice. Cage has overexposed himself by taking any work available to settle his debts, while Kidman has never been a box office draw.
Trespass will debut in limited theaters on October 14th, thee same day as its premiere through Video On Demand.
